Faculty Inquiry Groups

Welcome to Fullerton College’s Promise Career Pathways Grant – Faculty Inquiry Group (FIG) page. Supported by a Title V Developing Hispanic Serving Institutions Grant from the United States Department of Education known as Promise Career Pathways (PR/Award Number P031S180005), we are a group of Faculty that facilitate Incisive Inquiry discussions through the Faculty Inquiry Group (FIG) Model to address gaps in student learning outcomes in basic skills courses (mathematics, writing, reading).  Leveraging the guiding principles of a report from The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching: Strengthening Pre-Collegiate Education in Community Colleges (SPECC) 2008, we utilize the FIG model to look closely and critically at student learning for the purpose of improving our own courses and programs.
